At the May Fayre this year, Mary Hart was lucky enough to be given copies of these two Royal messages, from the end of the War.

Thanks to Mr Taylor of Cotswold Honey, for these. One, signed by King George, issued to him as a child at school, the other, signed by Queen Elizabeth, to his mother in gratitude for the evacuees she housed. Not strictly our province, but fascinating none the less.
